Foundation actively seeks public and private partnerships to redevelop or preserve naturally occurring affordable housing (NOAH), investing in apartment communities designed to serve low to middle-income earners constituting working class people earning between 60-120% of area median income. We seek to partner with local jurisdictions to ensure rental communities remain affordable and provide resident services that benefit everyone, seeking in exchange publicly available tax relief.
We challenge traditional norms of day-to-day property management, leveraging automation technologies to reduce mundane and repetitive tasks. This enables our team to do what they do best - be of service to our residents and help them advance toward their identified goals. By utilizing such technology, we are able to deploy human capital in a different manner than traditional operating firms, allowing team members to guide residents through their individualized wellness paths, providing and connecting resources along the way.
Foundation works alongside our residents to mutually develop personalized wellness plans that set a measurable path toward their desired goals. We then match residents with attainable resources to support these plans, including after school tutoring, financial literacy, career development training, ESL, mental health and recovery support. In doing so, our goal is to help residents identify achievable opportunities that benefit themselves, their loved ones, and the community.
As a triple bottom line organization, we seek to strip away stigmatizations of affordable housing, striving to mitigate both generational dependency on affordable housing as well as reframe the perspective of "Not in My Backyard" neighbors. We do this by measuring success beyond just profit, including improvement in grade point average of students, increase in net household wealth of employee, percentage of renters converted to homeowners, and more.
